«I wrote a testament ten years ago, but since then things have changed in my life. I would like to consider this in my last will and testament. What should I pay attention to?»
If you want to change a will, it is advisable:
- For minor changes, write a supplement either on the existing will or on a separate sheet of paper, which, like the original document, must be handwritten, dated and signed. Specify exactly which points of the Old Testament you wish to amend and state explicitly that the Old Testament is still valid. And: Keep it in a place where it can be found safely!
- For major changes, it is advisable to draw up a completely new will and to revoke or destroy the old one.
